Hey! Magical creature stuff...


Contrary to what one might think, keeping a good number of little cars at home is not easy. Each one has its own personality and you need to know them well to keep order. Like here, where after having nibbled and chased two Tomica little cars that were getting ready for the photo shoot, I had to call and scold this little creature, usually mischievous. Hey! Don't be silly! Of course, after staying quiet for a few moments, it bit my finger and ran away zigzagging and somersaulting to the back of the room. Knowing its nature, I left it be and continued the photo shoot. After a while I heard a scream from the living room. I stepped forward with determination, to find my wife clinging to her right foot – Honeeey, the slipper bit me… I moved forward once more, this time to the slipper, picked it up and looked at its fluffy interior – as I expected, two huge eyes stared back at me. I reached into the slipper and pulled out the green intruder, wheels dangling, inert and unresisting. I looked at it steadily and shook my head in disapproval. It blinked and closed its eyes, pouted – there are times when words are not necessary. It slowly nuzzled into my hand and yawned. Finally, there was nothing more to be done, so I brought it to its drawer and placed it in its usual position among the other little cars. It fell asleep. Its naps tend to last for weeks – the stuff of magical creatures. For a while, things will calm down around here. ● 


Ao contrário do que se possa pensar, manter em casa um bom número de carrinhos não é fácil. Cada um tem a sua personalidade e é preciso conhecê-los bem para manter a ordem. Como aqui, onde depois de ter mordiscado e perseguido dois carrinhos Tomica que se preparavam para a sessão fotográfica, tive de chamar e repreender esta criaturinha, habitualmente traquinas. Então! Não sejas tolinho! Claro que, depois de ficar quieta durante alguns instantes, mordeu-me o dedo e fugiu aos ziguezagues e cambalhotas para o fundo da sala. Conhecendo-lhe a natureza, deixei-a estar e continuei a sessão fotográfica. Passado algum tempo, ouvi um grito vindo da sala de estar. Avancei com determinação, para me deparar com a minha companheira agarrada ao seu pé direito – 'mooor, a pantufa mordeu-me… Avancei mais uma vez, agora para a pantufa, peguei nela e olhei para o seu interior felpudo – como esperava, dois olhos enormes olharam-me de volta. Coloquei a mão no interior da pantufa e retirei o intruso verde, rodinhas penduradas, inerte, sem resistência. Olhei-o com firmeza e meneei a cabeça em desaprovação. Pestanejou e fechou os olhos, fez beicinho – há momentos em que não são precisas palavras. Aninhou-se aos poucos na minha mão e bocejou. Por fim, não havia mais nada a fazer, trouxe-o para a sua gaveta e coloquei-o na posição habitual entre os outros carrinhos. Adormeceu. As suas sonecas tendem a durar semanas – coisas de criatura mágica. Durante algum tempo, vamos ter sossego aqui em casa. ●

Interior details in black plastic. Plastic wheels with "chrome" details simulating the rims. With suspension. The nominal scale is 1:57 and the overall length is approximately 2.7 in. About 1.2 oz. This model represents an automobile, possibly a 1968 Morgan Plus 8 roadster, equipped with the 215.5 cu in (3532 cm³), 168 hp (125 kW) Rover "V8" engine (derived from the Buick Fireball 215).
