Poliguri – Mercedes Unimog

It is made in Portugal, possibly between the late 1980s and the mid-1990s. Metal cab and cargo bed painted in green. Metal base painted in black. Glazing represented in transparent plastic, with details such as the windshield wipers and the rear-view mirror molded on the windshield. Two rotating beacons in transparent plastic. Interior details in white plastic. Plastic wheels ( R16T ) with printed details in white suggesting the rims, white line printed on the tire wall cut twice by the word "Guri". No suspension. Metal cab and chassis painted in grey, metal cargo bed painted in maroon. Cab with metal base painted in black. No glazing. No interior details. Plastic wheels (RW). No suspension. This model represents a dump truck  based on the 1960 Bedford TK .  As a kid, in the seventies, I see many Ford Ds, with their distinctive white grilles, driving along our roads. As well as the peculiar Morris FGs, the chubby Hanomag Kuriers or the perky OM Cerbiattos. I also see a lot of Bedford TJs and TKs. In Portugal, this model is available as part of the series "Carros Miniatura II", promoted by Cofina in 2016–2017. When buying the "Correio da Manhã"  ¹ newspaper, the reader has the option of also buying the miniature. Metal body painted in red, roof in red plastic. Black plastic base. Glazing represented in transparent plastic with details molded in the windshield and front door and sliding door windows.
