Scale model of an automobile in the custom style, the Custom '64 Galaxie , made by Hot Wheels . This example is reference 18, included in the 2007 New Models series. It is made in Malaysia. Metal body painted in dark red, with subtle black stripes on the sides. Plastic base with chrome finish. Glazing represented in tinted transparent plastic. Interior details in gray plastic. Plastic wheels, rims with chrome finish (5SP). No suspension. The overall length is approximately 3.1 in. About 1.2 oz. This model represents an automobile in the custom style, possibly based on the 1964  Ford Galaxie 500/XL hardtop coupe. It is made by Hot Wheels in several versions. I don’t think that Ford designers in the sixties ever wanted this car to look mean and aggressive – but, eventually and in certain degrees of customization, that's how it looks. This example is reference F54, included in what is usually known as the "Foreign" series, dedicated to non-Japanese vehicles. It is made in Japan in 1978. Metal body painted in a sort of pearl white. Metal base, unpainted. Glazing represented in transparent plastic, rear-view mirror molded on the windshield. Interior details in red plastic. Plastic wheels, rims with "chrome" finish. With suspension. Opening doors. "F54T"  license plate. The nominal scale is 1:78 and the overall length is approximately 2.9 in. About 1.3 oz. This model represents an automobile, possibly the 1977  Oldsmobile Toronado XSR coupe prototype. It is made by Tomica, as far as I know, only in this version. Metal body painted in green ( Palmetto Green ?). Black plastic base. Glazing represented in transparent plastic. Interior details in black plastic. Plastic wheels, rims with chrome finish. This model represents an automobile, the 1966 Pontiac GTO, possibly based on the 1966  Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe. Sometimes, I am told that muscle cars are the epitome of outrageous bad taste.
