Paulo Santos – Carris 303

Scale model of a streetcar, the Carris 303 , made by Paulo Santos. This is a one-off example made in Portugal in 2003. Plastic body ( plasticard ) painted in yellow and white, dark brown roof. Ads printed on paper and applied to the sides. Plastic and resin chassis, painted in dark red. Glazing represented in transparent plastic, with painted details. Interior details in painted plastic, featuring plastic figurines. Originally fitted with a functional metal pole, presently with a plastic one from an Hongwell Amarélis model. Presently fitted with a non-motorized chassis (H0e). The nominal scale is 1:87 and the overall length is approximately 3.9 in. About 1.1 oz. This model was based on only two photos and reveals a fair number of imperfections and errors (including the automatic door at the rear!), but essentially represents a streetcar from the Carris 283–322 series, introduced in service in 1951 ¹ –1963 and retired in 1992–1993. So Cute!

Sometimes, things just happen.  Impatient, tired of staying still for the photo, some miniatures rebel and run away across the room. Others run across the table and jump into our hands, asking for affection and play. There is nothing to do but smile and pet them. Then, they calm down and everything goes back to normal and you can patiently take the photos. In this case, they turned out really cool – as you'll see in a while. ● Por vezes, a coisa acontece.  Impacientes, cansadas de ficar quietinhas para a fotografia, algumas miniaturas revoltam-se e fogem pela sala. Outras correm pela mesa e saltam-nos para as mãos, a pedir mimos e brincadeira. Não há nada a fazer a não ser sorrir e fazer-lhes festas. Depois, aquietam-se e volta tudo ao normal e lá se consegue, pacientemente, as fotografias. Neste caso, ficaram mesmo giras – como se poderá ver daqui a uns tempos.  ●

Poliguri – Breve Introdução

A Poliguri é um fabricante português de carrinhos em metal injectado , presumivelmente activo entre 1987 e 1992. A fábrica encontra-se localizada no Cacém, a cerca de 20 km de Lisboa. A produção inclui o Mercedes Unimog, o Mercedes 207, o Mercedes 307, o Mercedes 200, o Fiat Uno e o Peugeot 405 Prototype, em escalas entre o 1:65 e o 1:50. Um Lancia Integrale é anunciado, mas aparentemente nunca produzido. O Mercedes 207 aparece como miniautocarro, ambulância e auto-caravana, enquanto o Mercedes 307 aparece como camioneta, camioneta com lona, camioneta-cisterna e pronto-socorro. O Mercedes 200 aparece em versão civil, como carro de polícia e como táxi. O Fiat Uno e o Peugeot 405 Prototype aparecem em versões civis e desportivas. O Mercedes Unimog, os Mercedes 207 miniautocarro e ambulância e o Mercedes 307 pronto-socorro podem puxar um pequeno atrelado com lona.
