Scale model of an automobile in the "custom" style, the '57 Plymouth Fury , made by Hot Wheels . This example is reference 2, included in the "2009 Super Treasure Hunts" (or "2009 Trea$ure Hunt$") series. It is made in Malaysia, in 2009. Metal body painted in translucent copper ("Spectraflame Copper"), white roof. Plastic base with "chromed" finish. Glazing represented in transparent plastic. Interior details in white plastic. Rubber tires, "chromed" plastic rims (RR5SP). No suspension. License plate "BRENDON". The nominal scale is 1:64 and the overall length is approximately 3.2 in. About 1.2 oz. This model in the " custom " style, the '57 Plymouth Fury, seems to combine details of both the 1957 and 1958 Plymouth Belvedere Fury 2-door Hardtop Coupes. Curiously, none of those versions feature "B" pillars. In fact, in an article published by Brad on the "ORANGE TRACK DIECAST" ...

Metal body painted in light greenish blue. Racing number "7" printed on the radiator grille and applied as a decal to the sides of the hood. Metal base replicating the chassis, also painted light greenish blue. On the chassis, partial reproduction, in gray plastic, of the engine and gearbox. Spare tire mounted at the rear, attached to the fuel tank. Details of the cockpit in black plastic, including the steering wheel and the seats and floor. Dashboard molded in metal. Tires in yellowish white plastic, detailed with thread and shoulder blocks, black plastic spoked rims. No suspension. The nominal scale is 1:43 and the overall length is approximately 2.8 in, or 3 in, including the spare tire. About 1.2 oz. This model represents a race car, presumably the Bugatti Type 22 ¹ numbe...
Scale model of an automobile in the "hot rod" style, the 1/4 Mile Coupe , made by Hot Wheels . This example is reference 7, included in the "2003 First Editions" series. It is made in Malaysia. Metal body painted in metallic purple. Metal base, unpainted. Glazing represented in transparent plastic. Interior details in "chrome" plastic. Plastic wheels with "chrome" details simulating the rims (5SP). No suspension. The nominal scale is 1:64 and the overall length is approximately 3 in (77 mm). About 1.4 oz (39 g). This model, the 1/4 Mile Coupe, represents a " hot rod ", featuring an exposed "V8" engine with oversized exhaust pipes. The name 1/4 Mile Coupe is a reference to the usual distance of a "drag race", a quarter mile – 1⁄4 mi or 1320 ft (402 m) In fact, I'm not sure if this 1/4 Mile Coupe is a "hot rod" with the claim to be a racing car (" Fuel Altered "? "Competiton Coupe"?) ...
