Scale model of a race car, the '71 AMC Javelin AMX , made by Hot Wheels . This example is reference 2, included in the "2018 50th Anniversary Favorites" series. It is made in Thailand. Metal body painted in red and white, with printed details, including "50 Hot Wheels" anniversary signatures on the sides and hood. Metal base, unpainted, but apparently sealed with lacquer. Glazing represented in transparent plastic with details molded in the rear window. Interior details in silver-colored plastic. Gray plastic rims ( RR8SP ), rubber tires. No suspension. The nominal scale is 1:64 and the overall length is approximately 3 in. About 1.8 oz. This model, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hot Wheels, is based on a race car, the Sunoco Javelin, an AMC Javelin AMX (or SST?) prepared by Roger Penske Racing Enterprises for the 1971 " Trans-Am Championship ", driven by Mark Donohue.
