Poliguri – Mercedes 200


Scale model of an automobile, the Mercedes 200, made by Poliguri. This example is reference 712, included in the "Guri Car" series. It is made in Portugal, possibly between the late 1980s and the mid-1990s. Metal body painted in black. Metal base painted in black. Glazing represented in transparent plastic, with details such as the windshield wipers and the rear-view mirror molded in the windshield. Interior details in white plastic. Plastic wheels (R5) with "chromed" details. With suspension. The nominal scale is 1:62 and the overall length is approximately 3 in. About 1.4 oz. This model represents an automobile, possibly based on the 1984 Mercedes-Benz 200 Limousine (sedan), equipped with the 80 kW (109 hp) Mercedes-Benz M102.922 (I4) engine. It is made by Poliguri in several color variants.

Modelo à escala de um automóvel, o Mercedes 200, feito pela Poliguri. Este exemplar é a referência 712, incluída na série "Guri Car". É feito em Portugal, possivelmente entre o final dos anos oitenta e meados dos anos noventa. Carroçaria em metal pintada em preto. Base em metal pintada em preto. Vidros representados em plástico transparente com detalhes como os limpa pára-brisas e o espelho retrovisor moldados no pára-brisas. Detalhes interiores em plástico branco. Rodas em plástico (R5) com detalhes "cromados". Com suspensão. A escala nominal é 1:62 e o comprimento total é de aproximadamente 76 mm. Cerca de 39 g. Este modelo representa um automóvel, possivelmente baseado no Mercedes-Benz 200 Limousine (sedan) de 1984, equipado com o motor Mercedes-Benz M102.922 (L4) de 80 kW (109 hp). É feito pela Poliguri em diversas variantes de cor.

The "Guri Car" series comprises at least 14 references, including the Unimog, several versions of the Mercedes-Benz TN, the Mercedes-Benz 200, the Fiat Uno and the Peugeot 405 Prototype. Versions and color variants

Numerous color variants, including two-tone schemes. Some variants feature printed details, such as stripes on the sides and geometric motifs on the hood and roof. I have seen reference 712 with white or red interiors. Fitted with R3, R5, R8 or P8 wheels. Check the Poliguri wheels, here. At least two different bases, with or without suspension, the latter featuring two small circular openings (ø ± 3,8 mm) above the axles. Necessary corrections or additions to the above are welcome. ●

Below, three images originally published on the website "MY POLIGURI COLLECTION". As we can see, despite its simplicity, this model has an excellent presence. And, unlike what happens in so many other Mercedes-Benz miniatures, in this one, due to its robustness, the "good star" lasts forever. ●

This series of 16 miniatures appears in 1970 associated with the Rajá ice cream brand, which offers a figurine on each ice cream purchased. Monochrome plastic, various colors. Obstacles In editorial terms, 2023 was a year without surprises for the " FUTURE MEMORY | TRANSPORTATION " and " FUTURE MEMORY | TOYS & MODELS " websites. But it is increasingly clear that one life is not enough to share my entire photographic collection. Efsi – T-Ford 1919 Panel Van

Scale model of a panel van, the T-Ford 1919 , made by Efsi   ¹ . This example is reference 04, included in the "Old Timers" series. It is made in Holland, possibly in the early 1980s. Metal body painted in brown, including brown fenders and running boards. Silver metal base. No windshield, windows without glazing. Interior details in white plastic. Plastic tires reproducing the shoulder blocks, rims in yellow. No suspension. The nominal scale is 1:62 and the overall length is approximately 2.3 in. About 1.6 oz. This model represents a panel van derived from the 1919  Ford Model T . It is made by Efsi in several versions. It is also used as the basis for the ambulance and fire engine versions. As a note of interest, in 1980, Pilen in Spain adds this model to its catalog as the Furgoneta, reference 604, part of the "Old Car" series.
