Siku – John Deere Ballenpresse

This model represents a John Deere 990 round baler, manufactured in 2011–2017. 

As a kid, during my visits to the countryside I always took the opportunity to examine the various types of agricultural machinery, to decipher how they worked. And I was always captivated by the pragmatic ingenuity of the solutions found to combine and accelerate all kinds of functions—to increase the productivity of each workday. Balers always seemed to me like skillful illusionists, transforming freshly cut hay into astonishing rectangular shapes, ready to be transported and stored. Benefiting from natural technological evolution, the John Deere 990, introduced in 2011, is compact and, I'm told, very efficient. Ignoring productivity standards, the miniature model proposed by Siku in the context of "3-inch" models is, for our purposes here, very appealing. The metal and plastic molds are of good quality and harmoniously integrated. Even though it's not very visible, the metal structure shows a well-applied paint job, and the printed details on the plastic elements are impeccable. The rear flap performs its function well, staying in place in any position. The wheels, which combine plastic rims with rubber tires, are well molded. In terms of play value, this small baler simulates its function attached to a tractor and allows you to manually open the rear flap to unload the bales. For collectors of tractors and agricultural machinery in general, this John Deere 990 baler model is another excellent offering from Siku. For kids, it's an excellent opportunity to learn while playing, simulating an interesting agricultural activity. ●

Em miúdo, durante as minhas visitas ao campo aproveitava sempre que possível para examinar os diversos tipos de maquinaria agrícola, para decifrar como funcionavam. E ficava sempre rendido à pragmática genialidade das soluções encontradas para conjugar e acelerar todo o tipo de funções—para aumentar a produtividade de cada jornada de trabalho. As enfardadeiras pareciam-me sempre hábeis ilusionistas, transformando o feno recém-cortado em espantosas formas rectangulares, prontas a ser transportadas e armazenadas. Beneficiando da natural evolução tecnológica, a John Deere 990, introduzida em 2011, é compacta e, dizem-me, muito eficiente. Alheia a cânones de produtividade, a miniatura proposta pela Siku no contexto dos modelos "3-polegadas" é, para aquilo que aqui nos interessa, muito apelativa. Os moldes em metal e plástico são de boa qualidade e harmoniosamente integrados. Ainda que pouco visível, a estrutura em metal evidencia uma pintura bem aplicada e nos elementos em plástico os detalhes impressos são irrepreensíveis. A pala traseira cumpre bem a sua função, retendo-se em qualquer posição. As rodas, que combinam jantes em plástico com pneus de borracha, são bem moldadas. Em termos de valor lúdico, esta pequenina enfardadeira simula a sua função atrelada a um tractor e permite abrir manualmente a pala traseira para descarregar os fardos. Para os coleccionadores de tractores e maquinaria agrícola em geral este modelo da enfardadeira John Deere 990 é mais uma excelente proposta da Siku. Para os miúdos, é uma excelente oportunidade para aprender ao longo das suas brincadeiras, simulando uma interessante actividade agrícola. ●

At the end of 2012, Siku combined the John Deere 7530 tractor, reference 1009, with the John Deere Ballenpresse baler (John Deere 990), reference 1473, creating the John Deere Traktor mit Ballenpresse set, reference 1665, including three round bales. Excellent play value for children. ●
