Norev – Renault 4 Parisienne
Scale model of an automobile, the Renault 4 Parisienne, made by Norev. This example is reference 423395, included in the "Renault Toys – Les P'tites Mythiques" series. It is made in China, I don't know its production period. Metal body painted in black, with printed details, including the characteristic decorations simulating rattan webbing on the sides and hatch. Black plastic base. Glazing represented in transparent plastic with details molded in the windshield. Interior details in light gray plastic. Detailed plastic rims with "chrome" finish, plastic tires with molded details. No suspension. The nominal scale is 1:54 and the overall length is approximately 2.8 in. About 1.1 oz. This model represents an automobile, possibly the 1963 Renault 4 Parisienne ¹, equipped with the 845 cm³, 32 hp (23.5 kW) Renault R1123 "L4". Top speed around 68 mph.
Unlike the Renault 4 E-Tech announced in 2021, the original "Quatrelle" offered between 1961 and 1994 is, alongside the 2 CV, an icon of French everyday life and a milestone in automotive history. Countless articles and books have already been published about it and there is nothing I can add. However, regarding this Norev miniature, I can say it's lovely. The casting is excellent and perfectly captures the proportions and stance of the original, the distinctive body design, and the raised rear end. The reproduction of the hood with the meticulously detailed front end is remarkable. The paint job is compromised by several splashes, but the application of the printed details is excellent. The red accent on the tail lights seems a bit excessive, as does the greening of the decorative panels. The treatment given to the interior and wheels is very good, especially on this small scale. As for the elegant Renault 4 Parisienne offered between 1963 and 1968, I don't recall seeing it in Portugal. After so many years, it was a pleasure to add this exquisite variant to my collection of tiny Renaults. Très chic! ●

É feito na China, desconheço o seu período de produção. Carroçaria em metal pintada em preto, com detalhes impressos, incluindo as características decorações simulando malha de vime nas laterais e porta traseira. Base em plástico preto. Vidros representados em plástico transparente com detalhes moldados no pára-brisas. Detalhes interiores em plástico cinzento claro. Jantes detalhadas em plástico com acabamento "cromado", pneus em plástico com detalhes moldados. Sem suspensão. A escala nominal é 1:54 e o comprimento total é de aproximadamente 71 mm. Cerca de 30 g. Este modelo representa um automóvel, possivelmente o Renault 4 Parisienne ¹ de 1963, equipado com o motor Renault R1123 "L4" de 845 cm³ e 32 hp (23.5 kW). Velocidade máxima na ordem dos 110 km/h.
Ao contrário do Renault 4 E-Tech anunciado em 2021, o original "Quatrelle" proposto entre 1961 e 1994 é, a par do 2 CV, um ícone do quotidiano francês e um marco na história do automóvel. Sobre ele já se publicaram incontáveis artigos e livros e não há nada eu que possa acrescentar. Todavia, quanto a esta miniatura Norev, posso dizer que é encantadora. O molde é excelente e capta na perfeição as proporções e postura do original, o peculiar desenho da carroçaria e a traseira sobrelevada. A reprodução do capot com a frente meticulosamente detalhada é notável. A pintura é comprometida por diversos salpicos, mas a aplicação dos detalhes impressos é excelente. O destaque a vermelho das luzes traseiras parece algo excessivo, assim como o esverdeamento dos painéis decorativos. O tratamento dado ao interior ou às rodas é muito bom, sobretudo a esta pequena escala. Quanto ao elegante Renault 4 Parisienne proposto entre 1963 e 1968, não me lembro de alguma vez o ver em Portugal. Ao fim de tantos anos, foi um gosto adicionar esta requintada variante à minha colecção de pequeninos Renault. Très chic! ●
