It is made in China, I don't know its production period. Metal body painted in metallic yellow, with printed details. Metal base, unpainted. Glazing represented in black tinted transparent plastic with molded details; Renault emblem molded and accented on the rear window. Detailed plastic rims with "chrome" finish, plastic tires with molded details. With suspension. The nominal scale seems to be around 1:55 and the overall length is approximately 2.9 in. About 1.7 oz. This model represents an automobile, the 2003 Renault Be Bop "concept car", equipped with a 1998 cm³, 228 hp (168 kW) Renault "L4" engine.
I have a friend who almost exclusively collects "concept cars", or automotive styling exercises, if you prefer. It's a fascinating topic that allows us to study the birth of concepts and understand their full or partial adaptation to the demands of everyday life, as well as to profitable mass production. Sometimes, initially appealing concepts are significantly distorted by technical constraints—the controversial Austin Allegro comes to mind. The Renault Be Bop stirs our senses, provokes us—it's strange, but appealing. In this miniature proposed by Norev, the casting is excellent and captures well the lines, proportions, and disconcerting attitude of the original. The paintwork is also excellent, as is the application of the printed details. The molded and highlighted Renault losang on the rear window is a good choice. The treatment given to the interior is very good—apart from the technical solution found for the steering wheel. The wheels are well detailed and roll well. The Renault Be Bop is above all a miniature valued by collectors of "concept cars" and loyal enthusiasts of the Renault brand. Both have reason to be pleased and smile—it is indeed an excellent miniature. ●

Tenho um amigo que quase só colecciona "concept cars", ou exercícios de estilo automóvel, se assim o preferirmos. É um tópico fascinante, que nos permite estudar o nascimento de conceitos e compreender a sua adaptação integral ou parcial às exigências do quotidiano, assim como à rentável produção em série. Por vezes, conceitos inicialmente apelativos são expressivamente destorcidos por constrangimentos técnicos— vem-me a memória o controverso Austin Allegro. O Renault Be Bop agita-nos os sentidos, provoca-nos—é estranho, mas apelativo. Nesta miniatura proposta pela Norev, o molde é excelente e capta bem as desconcertantes linhas, proporções e atitude do original. A pintura é também excelente, assim como a aplicação dos detalhes impressos. O losango Renault moldado e destacado na janela traseira é uma boa escolha. O tratamento dado ao interior é muito bom— à parte a solução técnica encontrada para o volante. As rodas são bem detalhadas e rodam bem. O Renault Be Bop é sobretudo uma miniatura valorizada pelos coleccionadores de "concept cars" e pelos leais entusiastas da marca do losango. Ambos têm motivo para ficar satisfeitos e sorrir—é de facto uma excelente miniatura. ●
