Norev – Renault Clio
Scale model of an automobile, the Renault Clio, made by Norev. This example is reference 230398, included in the "Renault Toys – Clio" series. It is made in China, possibly in 2008. Metal body painted in metallic blue-gray ("Bleu Gris"?), with printed details. Metal base, unpainted. Glazing represented in transparent plastic with details molded in the windshield. Detailed plastic rims with "chrome" finish, plastic tires with molded details. With suspension. Opens rear door, lacking "glass". The nominal scale seems to be around 1:55 and the overall length is approximately 2.9 in, or 3.1 in including the towing device. About 2.1 oz. This model represents an automobile, the 2005 Renault Clio, possibly equipped with the 1149 cm³, 75 hp (55 kW) Renault D4F "L4" engine. Top speed around 104 mph.
Especially as service or rental vehicles, I successively drove several examples of the first three generations of the Renault Clio. Unlike the Renault 5 and Twingo, the Clio never thrilled me, but as transportation tools they never disappointed me either—easy to drive, spacious, tolerant, and reliable. In my opinion, the miniature proposed by Norev reproduces the last Renault Clio faithful to the spirit of its iconic predecessors—and does so very well. Once again, the casting is excellent, robust, well-proportioned and detailed, and the printed accents are almost flawless—note, for example, the discreet brake light at the top of the rear door. The paintwork is excellent. The treatment given to the interior is good—despite the dissonant technical solution found for the steering wheel. The wheels are robust, but well-detailed and with good "road behavior". The functional, glassless rear door (for easier opening) compromises the model's realism, but in return offers children enormous play potential, allowing for successive loading and unloading. And then, they even have the towing device. Within the context of "3-inch" toy models, this Renault Clio from Norev is a good tribute to the 2005 original. Above all, it's a must-have for loyal enthusiasts of the Renault brand. ●

Vidros representados em plástico transparente com detalhes moldados no pára-brisas. Detalhes interiores em plástico preto. Jantes detalhadas em plástico com acabamento "cromado", pneus em plástico com detalhes moldados. Com suspensão. Abre a porta traseira, desprovida de "vidro". A escala nominal parece ser à volta de 1:55 e o comprimento total é de aproximadamente 73 mm, ou 78 mm incluindo o dispositivo de reboque. Cerca de 60 g. Este modelo representa um automóvel, o Renault Clio de 2005, possivelmente equipado com o motor Renault D4F "L4" de 1149 cm³ e 75 hp (55 kW). Velocidade máxima na ordem dos 167 km/h.
Sobretudo como viaturas de serviço ou de aluguer, conduzi sucessivamente diversos exemplares das três primeiras gerações do Renault Clio. Ao contrário dos Renault 5 e dos Twingo, os Clio nunca me entusiasmaram, mas enquanto ferramentas de transporte também nunca me desiludiram—fáceis de conduzir, espaçosos, tolerantes e fiáveis. A meu ver, a miniatura proposta pela Norev reproduz o último Renault Clio fiel ao espírito dos seus icónicos antecessores—e fá-lo muito bem. Mais uma vez, o molde é excelente, robusto, bem proporcionado e detalhado e os sublinhados impressos quase irrepreensíveis—repare-se, por exemplo, na discreta luz de stop no topo da porta traseira. A pintura é excelente. O tratamento dado ao interior é bom—apesar da dissonante solução técnica encontrada para o volante. As rodas são robustas, mas bem detalhadas e com um bom "comportamento de estrada". A porta traseira funcional e sem vidro (para facilitar a abertura) compromete o realismo do modelo, mas em contrapartida oferece aos miúdos um enorme potencial lúdico, permitindo sucessivas cargas e descargas. E depois, têm ainda o dispositivo de reboque. Dentro do contexto dos modelos-brinquedo de "3-polegadas", este Renault Clio da Norev é um bom tributo ao original de 2005. Sobretudo, imperdível para os fiéis entusiastas da marca do losango. ●
