GreenLight – 1968 Chevrolet C10

Scale model of a pickup truck, the 1968 Chevrolet C10, made by GreenLight. This example is reference 27940-B, included in the "Anniversary Collection | 100th Anniversary of Chevy Trucks". It is made in China in 2018. Metal cab and cargo bed painted in red, with printed details such as the distinctive side moldings. Metal base with glossy finish. Glazing represented in transparent plastic. Interior details in red plastic. Rubber tires, white plastic rims with "chrome" hub caps. No suspension. License plates featuring the signature of the "100th Anniversary of Chevy Trucks" series. The nominal scale is 1:64 and the overall length is approximately 3.2 in. About 2.5 oz. This model represents a pickup truck, the 1968 Chevrolet C 10 Fleetside (1⁄2-ton). As a note of interest, C 10 denotes a two-wheel drive pickup truck (C 10) with a payload of 1⁄2-ton (C 10).

This Chevrolet C 10 Fleetside made by GreenLight, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, looks great. The painting and printed details are well applied, including the characteristic side moldings, as well as the reflectors introduced in 1968. The license plates with the signature of the "100th Anniversary of Chevy Trucks" series are perfectly legible – with a magnifying glass. It is sad that the cargo box is not properly aligned with the cab. This pickup truck, the 1968 Chevrolet C10, is in my collection under the themes "American Vehicles" and "Vans & Pickup Trucks". ●

Efsi – T-Ford 1919 Panel Van

Scale model of a panel van, the T-Ford 1919 , made by Efsi   ¹ . This example is reference 04, included in the "Old Timers" series. It is made in Holland, possibly in the early 1980s. Metal body painted in brown, including brown fenders and running boards. Silver metal base. No windshield, windows without glazing. Interior details in white plastic. Plastic tires reproducing the shoulder blocks, rims in yellow. No suspension. The nominal scale is 1:62 and the overall length is approximately 2.3 in. About 1.6 oz. This model represents a panel van derived from the 1919  Ford Model T . It is made by Efsi in several versions. It is also used as the basis for the ambulance and fire engine versions.
