Hot Wheels – '69 Chevelle SS 396


Scale model of an automobile in the "custom" style, the '69 Chevelle SS 396, made by Hot Wheels. This example is reference 17, included in the "2008 First Editions" series. It is made in Malaysia. Metal body painted in metallic black. Plastic base with "chrome" finish. Glazing represented in gray tinted transparent plastic. Interior details in a sort of golden beige plastic. Plastic wheels with "chrome" details simulating the rims (5SP). No suspension. The nominal scale seems to be around 1:63 and the overall length is approximately 3.2 in (80 mm). About 1.2 oz (34 g). This model in the "custom" style, the '69 Chevelle SS 396, is based on the 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Hardtop Coupe. I like to think this Chevelle came equipped with the RPO L78 option, meaning a 6.5 L (6490 cm³), 280 kW (380 hp) L78 Big-Block V8 engine under the hood. Meaning we could chase a comet in the heat of the night – if we wanted to.

Carroçaria em metal pintada em preto metalizado. Base em plástico com acabamento "cromado". Vidros representados em plástico cinzento transparente. Detalhes interiores numa espécie de plástico bege dourado. Rodas em plástico com detalhes "cromados" a simular as jantes (5SP). Sem suspensão. A escala nominal parece ser à volta de 1:63 e o comprimento total é de aproximadamente 80 mm. Cerca de 34 g. Este modelo em estilo "custom", o '69 Chevelle SS 396, é baseado no Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Hardtop Coupe de 1969. Gosto de pensar que este Chevelle veio equipado com a opção RPO L78, significando um motor L78 Big-Block V8, com 6490 cm³ e 280 kW (380 hp) sob o capot. Significando que podíamos perseguir um cometa no calor da noite – se assim o quiséssemos.

Obstacles In editorial terms, 2023 was a year without surprises for the " FUTURE MEMORY | TRANSPORTATION " and " FUTURE MEMORY | TOYS & MODELS " websites.
