Metal body painted in metallic dark green, with printed details. Metal base with glossy finish. Glazing represented in transparent plastic. Interior details in black plastic. Rubber tires, "chrome" plastic rims. No suspension. Opening hood, revealing the detailed engine. "JJZ 109" licence plate. The nominal scale is 1:64 and the overall length is approximately 2.9 in. About 1.9 oz. This model represents an automobile, the 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback, as depicted in the contemporary film "Bullitt", directed by Peter Yates and starring Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, and Jacqueline Bisset. It was equipped with the 390 cu (6.4 L), 325 bhp (242 kW) Ford FE 390 V8 engine.

A million words have been written about the car chase in the movie "Bullitt" – it's iconic, and there's nothing I can add. Perhaps mention, a few years later in the movie "The French Connection", the Detective "Popeye" Doyle (Gene Hackman) chasing an L-train in New York – another iconic sequence. There is not much I can add about this model of the Ford Mustang GT made by GreenLight either. If all goes well during the manufacturing and packaging process, we will have in our hands an excellent model, well proportioned, adequately painted and detailed – a meticulous reproduction of the prototype. If not, we will be very sad. Quality control is indeed an issue for most American manufacturers on this scale and that's why, after several disappointments, I stopped buying these models "online". Fortunately, with this example, purchased locally, I only had to reposition the rubber tires. For kids, this Ford Mustang GT isn't a good roller – but it opens the hood to reveal a well-detailed V8 engine. For me, it's unavoidable – when looking at this model, I remember the determination of Steve McQueen, the sweetness of Jacqueline Bisset, the dizzying chase through the streets of San Francisco, the descent down Lombard Street, the threshold between two very different decades. Unavoidable. This automobile, the 1968 Ford Mustang GT "Bullitt", is in my collection under the themes "American Vehicles" and "Movies & TV Series Vehicles". ●

Talvez mencionar, alguns anos depois no filme "The French Connection", o Detective "Popeye" Doyle (Gene Hackman) a perseguir um comboio metropolitano em Nova York – outra sequência icónica. Sobre este modelo do Ford Mustang GT feito pela GreenLight, também não há muito que eu possa acrescentar. Se tudo correr bem durante o processo de fabrico e embalamento, chegará às nossas mãos um modelo excelente, bem proporcionado, adequadamente pintado e detalhado – uma reprodução meticulosa do protótipo. Se não, vamos ficar muito tristes. O controlo de qualidade é de facto um problema para a maioria dos fabricantes americanos nesta escala e é por isso que, depois de várias decepções, parei de comprar estes modelos "online". Felizmente, com este exemplar, adquirido localmente, só tive que reposicionar os pneus de borracha. Para os miúdos, este Ford Mustang GT não é um bom rolador – mas abre o "capot" revelando um motor V8 bem detalhado. Para mim, é incontornável – ao observar este modelo, recordo a determinação de Steve McQueen, a doçura de Jacqueline Bisset, a vertiginosa perseguição pelas ruas de São Francisco, a descida pela Lombard Street, o limiar entre duas décadas tão diferentes. Incontornável. Este automóvel, o 1968 Ford Mustang GT "Bullitt", encontra-se na minha colecção sob os temas "Veículos Americanos" e "Veículos de Filmes & Séries Televisivas". ●
