Norev – Alpine A110

Scale model of an automobile, the Alpine A110, made by Norev. This example is reference 420 235 ¹, included in the "Renault Toys – Les P'tites Légendes Sportives" series ². It is made in China, possibly in 2008. Metal body painted in metallic blue. Black plastic base. Glazing represented in transparent plastic, with details molded in the windshield. Interior details in black plastic. Rubber tires, silver plastic rims. Without suspension. The nominal scale is 1:54 and the overall length is approximately 2.8 in. About 1.1 oz. This model represents an automobile, possibly the 1970 Alpine A110 1300 berlinette, equipped with the 1289 cm³, 50 kW (68 hp) Renault 810-30 engine, reaching a top speed of around 112 mph.

I remember the Alpine A110 well, its voice, its smell, its warm body. Of course I knew that his heart came from the mundane Renault 8, 12 or 16 "berlines". But here, there was discomfort, rebellion, challenge, the vision of a pilot, Jean Rédélé – the alchemy of speed. It was a "berlinette" – and its natural habitat was winding roads vertiginously traveled under the complicit gaze of dawn. There are cars like that – and this was one of them. Perhaps the model made by Norev lacks some finesse – but I recognize in it the soul of the Alpine A110. The unmistakable face, the muscularity of the bodywork, the road-thirsty wheels. The paint is well applied and the printed details are perfectly legible. The interior, impeccable on this scale, even shows us the levers on the steering column. For kids, even without suspension, it's a good roller. For me, when I saw this model for the first time, I bought two. And then, one more – and I never stopped buying them, to make different versions. Good memories are never too much. This automobile, the Alpine A110, is in my collection under the theme "French Vehicles". ●

É feito na China, possivelmente em 2008. Carroçaria em metal pintada em azul metalizado. Base em plástico preto. Vidros representados em plástico transparente, com detalhes moldados no pára-brisas. Detalhes interiores em plástico preto. Pneus em borracha, jantes em plástico prateadas. Sem suspensão. A escala nominal é 1:54 e o comprimento total é de aproximadamente 72 mm. Cerca de 32 g. Este modelo representa um automóvel, possivelmente o Alpine A110 1300 berlinette de 1970, equipado com o motor Renault 810-¬30 1289 cm³ e 50 kW (68 hp), alcançando uma velocidade máxima de cerca de 180 km/h.

Lembro-me bem do Alpine A110, da sua voz, do seu cheiro, do seu corpo quente. Claro que sabia que o seu coração provinha das mundanas "berlines" Renault 8, 12 ou 16. Mas aqui, havia desconforto, rebeldia, desafio, a visão de um piloto, Jean Rédélé – a alquimia da velocidade. Era uma "berlinette" – e o seu habitat natural era estradas sinuosas percorridas vertiginosamente ao cúmplice rasgar da madrugada. Há automóveis assim – e este era um deles. Talvez falte alguma finura ao modelo feito pela Norev – mas reconheço nele a alma do Alpine A110. O rosto inconfundível, a muscularidade da carroçaria, as rodas a pedir estrada. A pintura é bem aplicada e os detalhes impressos perfeitamente legíveis. O interior, irrepreensível a esta escala, mostra-nos até as alavancas na coluna de direcção. Para os miúdos, mesmo sem suspensão, é um bom rolador. Para mim, quando vi este modelo pela primeira vez, comprei dois. E depois, mais um – e nunca mais parei de os comprar, para fazer versões diferentes. Boas memórias, nunca são demais. Este automóvel, o Alpine A110, encontra-se na minha colecção sob o tema " Veículos Franceses". ●
